  • Some people amaze me, but not in a good way.

This Father's Day my family and I went to a special brunch at the local country club. My family isn't a member of the club, but anyone can eat in the restaurants they have there. The brunch was a buffet, and I was helping myself to some food. There was no one in line in front or in back of me. All of a sudden, these two, middle-aged men jumped ahead of me in line. I thought to myself that that was pretty rude, but didn't think it was a big deal. Once I finished helping myself of the first food, I had to wait for the men to finish before I could continue moving down the line. I was standing there just politely waiting when one of the men turned around and gave me this horrible glare that read, "What do you want, woman?" He turned around, finished filling his plate, and left, while I stood there insulted. Who does this guy think he is to cut me in line and then act like I was the rude one? I just couldn't believe it.

I know I'm overreacting a bit, but am I wrong here? This man was completely rude and disrespectful. Have you ever been in a situation where you're treated like the bad guy but you're actually the victim?

Ha. I have been treated like the bad guy even though it's MY wedding for weeks now (by the MIL).  good times.  So yes, I know how you feel on that aspect.
It seems that this is the norm at buffet style anythings at fancy restaurants (country club style restaurants, high society hotels, etc).  I noticed that a lot when we went to Hotel Hershey the other week, it's like there's no order and people just feel that the world owes them something then gets mad when you're in their "personal space".  Come on people, seriously, don't butt or be rude... and if you do... get your damn food and get out of my way so I can continue on my way! GEESH! haha
